The primary goal of any exercise
programme should be to make your back stronger so that it
can support the spinal column, these can be undertaken at
home and don’t require any special equipment.
The exercise programme should
be to make your back, stomach, hips and thighs strong and
flexible. The exercise programme can include walking, cycling,
swimming and jogging.
Your doctor or orthopaethic
surgeon can recommend the length of the exercise programme
using around 10 to 30 minutes a day or even a stepped approach
starting with 5 minutes per day and building up over time.
